So...so far, the hardest part of this vegan thing is trying to blog everyday. As you can tell, yesterday's was really intense. I was tired and really, nothing exciting happened.
Today was pretty uneventful too, minus vegan shopping for the first time. It was actually cheaper than I expected and I got some tasty looking things. Lots of fresh veggies (even though I can only afford to shop at Walmart right now, still got a decent selection. The only thing they didn't have that I really wanted was some eggplant (my new favorite veggie!), but I guess I'll have to go to Kroger's or something sweet like that. I also got some tasty asian trail mix stuff with nuts and sesame sticks and wasabi peas and it was tasty and I already ate a lot of it.
Shopping also took a little bit of time to look at all the ingredients, but it was not as bad as I thought, since I pretty much just stayed in the veggie/fruit isles.
Well I think I am going to got to sleep and stop blogging about nothing.
Peace and Veggies!

Fat Tuesday - Last Day Before Vegan-hood
Ok, so today was that last day to eat meat and dairy and all that so I wanted to go out in style. I went to Boulevard Haus at the Oregon District in Dayton, Ohio with my lovely roommates Aleene, Julez, and Stephanie. We had fun and we ate alot. I had a nice fattening Reuben Sandwhich, some German Beer I couldn't pronounce, and I finished it off with a super delicious dessert- Banana Rum something or other crepe. I was HUGE and Delicious and I only ate half, but I can't let it go to waste so in a few minutes I am going to finish it off... serious this thing was FANTASTIC! and HUGE!!
Anyways, this part of the story has absolutely nothing to do with being vegan, on the way home, as we were walking to our house, we found a random shopping cart by a trash container. Needless to say, we stole it and then we put a caged squirrel in the cart (oh yea, we found a squirrel stuck in a cage by our house). For some reason it was just the stupidest most hysterical thing ever. I wanted to keep the squirrel, but I think Dayton/my roommates would highly frown upon a crazy squirrel in our broken into attic.?! Not sure why....
Now after that little interruption, back to the vegan thing. So it starts tomorrow...so you'll have some more updates then. So far I have actually posted 2 days in a row.
So Goodbye and Goodnight and Good riddance MEAT and DIARY and EVERYTHING TASTY!!!!

What the Heck Am I Doing?
So...for lent I decided I was going to take on a big task. I am going VEGAN! And I am attempting to blog my adventures as often as possible (my goal is everyday, but lets be honest, I know that's not happening..who knows maybe this will be my first and last post..)
Why am I going Vegan? Who knows...maybe cause I'm crazy. But part of the reason is my boyfriend started doing it and lost weight and seems healthy, and as most anybody I want to lose weight and eat truly healthy. Also, I am not doing this because I feel bad for animals. For the vegans that do, that I totally awesome and I respect that, but when people ask me why I am doing it I give them the snide comment..."I'm not doing it because I like animals, I'm doing it because i HATE PLANTS!" --- get it?? Pretty funny eh?
Back to seriousness.... I also want something to challenge myself this Lenten season. I have given up sweets, desserts, junk food, pickles, and pop in the last few years and have been successful so I want to move on to a different challenge.
The good thing is I am not doing this alone. Of course my boyfriend is still vegan (for the time being), but my friend and awesome roommate Allie is doing it do.
Anyways, so I was home this weekend and I told my family about going Vegan for Lent. Needless to say, most of them don't think I can do it. Luckily my sister is awesome and is proud of me...but I got a lot of questions from my family, including from my little brother. I was prepared though and proved to them that I knew what I was going and how to do it right. It seemed that my brother's main concern was that I would be getting enough Riboflavins.....!!!!!! What the heck is a Riboflavin and how am I supposed to know if I'm normally getting enough of them??!?!?!
Well tomorrow is Fat Tuesday and am definitely planning to load up on as much meat and dairy as possible...starting off tomorrow with about 5 slices of turkey bacon (I mean I have to use it all up tomorrow...I can't let is go to waste!) and then finishing off the day with a roommate date night to Boulevard Haus for some thing delicious like a big Reuben Sandwich and some fattening dessert. Now off to bed to dreams of meat dancing through my head.
See you tomorrow....if I can remember that I am actually attempting to do a blog here.
